a
short film
To:
Mr. Jean-Luc Godard Dear Mr. Godard Hello, sir. Maybe youve heard of me? Ive produced all sorts or quirky movies like The Matrix Trilogy, The Die Hard Trilogy, and the Lethal Weapon Series. Anyway, Ive noticed youve not had a mind-bending flick in American theaters in some time or ever? Well I have a proposal for you. A sequel to your 1964 film Band of Outsiders. How could I make a sequel? you ask. Despite the fact that one of the principal characters was shot (an excessive amount of times) to death, given Hollywoods great writers we can find a way to get him back in the mix. Cloning? Time travel? The possibilities are limitless and with all the money Im swimming in we could do just about anything. My only suggestion is that we move the film in a direction Ive rarely ventures: comedy. Woah, you say ala Keanu Reeves in The Matrix. Yes! Comedy! Genius, huh? Given recent studies in the genre that weve been doing we feel that the time is right to unleash a fresh, new comedy onto the market. Its been a while since it was done correctly and if we were to make it about GOLF! Mr. Godard, let me stop to ask .can you picture the money rolling in? From one filmmaker to the next, I believe this is oscar material. Pure slapstick. Together we can make this the most notable sequel of all time. Attached is a proposed piece of promotional material (or what we here in America call an advanced one-sheet poster) of the film, with the original cast posed and ready. Hope to hear from you soon.
